Discover the art of possibly the most influential artist of the 20th century, Pablo Picasso.Born in Malaga, in Spain, in 1881, Picasso lived until 1973, spending most of his life in France. He showed early promise in art and his father, a teacher, he, encouraged so that he studied at the Royal Academy of Art in Barcelona. His earlier works included the blue period, characterized by predominantly blue palette and the oppressed lower strata of life, such as beggars and prostitutes. There was also the period Rose, which introduced a lighter painting and more brilliant, featuring clowns, harlequins and other circus people, acrobats called.Around 1906-1907, Picasso was influenced by Cézanne and ancient African sculptures and also started to collaborate with Braque. He also embraced the works of other artists by creating variations of the work by Velazquez and Delacroix, among others.Pablo Picasso is an extremely important artist, especially for modern art. His works of art promotes still some controversy, and he is probably best known for the Cubism and Guernica.
