Universally Transferable Skills For Career Changers
I rarely go a week without a hearing of a client that is changing in the branch, the fields or industries. The biggest problem to which they are running is what they perceive as a lack of transferable skills. They have the impression that there is a huge barrier that keeps field experts and everyone out, but there are several universal skills that - well written CV - depict successfully as candidate with valuable and adaptable skills that increase their impact and reduce training time. Here are some examples: Communication compétencesPouvez you lead teams, working with difficult people or calm down angry customers? There is high demand skills! Another skill of communication, that I have come across many more recently is the ability to perform cross-functional communication between the Executive level, the tippy-top folks in the mail room and everyone between. Communicate with all levels, functions and types of personality (especially if you're bilingual) are incredibly valuable in your resume regardless of your domain.LogicielsAinsi skills, you have been to school, trying to wait that the recession, and that you have acquired an arsenal impressive skills in software. Use know-how added all that you have returned to school and over the years working with Microsoft Project, Adobe Creative, Java, SAP, QuickBooks - apparently random any software you have picked up and list the knowledge that applies to your prospective work. Your dream job requires skills MS Publisher? Take a weekend class and get on this resume!Sales and Marketing Executive compétencesUn marketing recently told me: "If you are good sales, you can sell anything." It is a proven truth, and take your skills in selling auto parts to work for a pet food manufacturer may be a stretch, no doubt, there are parallels. The society of research and comparison similarities (i.e. what technical sales, process?) or tracking of sales they have in common In addition, the bottom line in selling yourself for sale across industries comes down to results. If you can cultivate relationships with clients and sell a variety of widgets, it is a good chance you can do the same with thingamajigs thus. There are other areas that could transfer across industries such as leadership and speaking capabilities, planning and organizations skills, linguistic and other talents that are in high demand in virtually all industries need professionals. Compare your resume to jobs you continue and match the similarities. If you have problems finding any this is a good indicator is not the work for you.
