Nike Group announced that the new headquarters will be built in Shanghai, China. The construction of a new set of Nike Greater China headquarters is built for employees of Nike. With an area of approximately 600,000 square feet (about 54 575 square meters), the Greater China headquarters will be located in the Yangpu District in Shanghai. U.S. real estate company Tishman develop multi use project and named it with "-Shangpu guide the world." The company Nike will conduct a new long-term strategy for growth. Once the project is completed, its trading activity will be raised. Nike Company has earned its reputation in the area of Tianjin and Chengdu before this project.
It is not only a surprise but also a strategic investment. The new headquarters may gather all its employees in Shanghai and its group of brands. Due to the construction of new headquarters offices of the company and its capacity operation could also be improved. Annual sales of Nike is more than 2 million for the first time in Greater China in June 2011. And the rate of growth of regional income is 35%, reported in the annual financial report in December 20th, 2012. A complex of buildings include about three office buildings and a layer of five versatile conference centers show its appearance after construction. A complete set of food services and a separate conference center used to organize large scale events and product launches will be installed in the new headquarters.
Nike company said the move will happen in the first quarter of 2014. The building is located between Hongqiao Airport and Pudong airport, the two largest airport in Shanghai.
