A balanced diet: what is and how to achieve?

Simply having a balanced diet means eating the right type of food in the right amounts to the levels recommended for your body to take in the nutrients he needs for health. It is important to have one, because it ensures the prevention of obesity, diabetes, certain types of cancer and diseases.

According to the "Australian for healthy eating guide," the required number of daily servings from each food group to meet daily nutrients your body needs can be more or less decomposed into the following:
