A growing number of Americans are in need of prevention of diabetes

The number of adults being diagnosed with diabetes increased rapidly and, outside of hereditary factors, the causes are all generally the same. American adults don't get nearly enough exercise and meals are rich, fatty and contain huge portions. As there is no cure, doctors and researchers say diabetes has become more and more important.

The first step to significantly reduce the chances of developing diabetes is a simple process. Reduction of body fat and become less sedentary are a good choice for everyone, but especially for diabetics. There is little or no calories in Xylitol and it has no glycemic response, so diabetics can indulge their sweet tooths with no danger to raise their level of sugar in the blood. It is very slowly metabolized by the body and effectively stabilizes blood sugar levels, helps to eliminate the highs and lows of the diabetic experience.

Over the years, many have questioned the safety of artificial or non-nutritive sweeteners, even those made directly from pure sugar. The question is therefore: Xylitol is safe? The answer is Yes. There were few studies that indicate a few artificial sweeteners can cause damage in rats when introduced at very high doses, and the internet is replete with stories anecdotal sweetener causes cancer and other diseases.

The fact is that the Xylitol was found safe and approved by the FDA, and its advantages are widely accepted and leased. In very high doses, the subjects in the study reported stomach discomfort or other gastrointestinal problems, but once again, these issues seem minor compared to the benefits of this sweetener diabetes prevention no calories.
