Electrocardiogram - Electrical Heart Graph

The most commonly heard Word when speaks of disease heart is the "ECG" and Moreover, it is commonly known as ECG or EKG. The phobia of the medical jargon long can be prevented by calling an electrical heart graph. For medical reasons, it is the non-invasive procedure to record the electrical activity of the heart. The term ECG was invented by Willem Einthoven in 1893 at the meeting of the medical society of the Dutch. In 1924, Einthoven received the Nobel Prize for his career in the development of the ECG.The test of the ECG is test is very common, because it contributes to screen many cardiac anomalies and machines are available in all medical facilities and the test is very simple to make, cheap and without risk. An EKG is generally performed in routine physical examination, part of a cardiac exercise stress test or part of the evaluation of the symptoms of palpitations, fainting, shortness of breath, dizziness, fainting or chest pain. The ECG monitoring procedure is that the electrodes are attached to the arms, legs and chest and they detect the electrical impulses generated by heart and transmit the ECG machine. The ECG machine produces a graph (ECG tracing) of these cardiac electrical impulse, which allows to verify anomalies. All these wavy lines on the machine or paper readings are in fact the heart beat that doctors read and discover anomalies. ECG tracing may determine heart rate, rates, conduction anomalies where appropriate, if there was a prior heart attack or coronary artery disease or abnormally thickened heart muscle. A heart attack in evolution can also be provided. The negative effects on the pulmonary heart of conditions or inflammation of the heart or its lining can also be known. But ECG also has certain limitations as it reveals the rate and pace of the heart only during this period of time. The ECG may often be normal or nearly normal in patients with undiagnosed artery coronary disease or other forms of diseases of the heart and many "anomalies" that appear in the corner of ECG off have no medical importance after a thorough assessment is made. The ECG has evolved over the years with new advances in technology. Standard 12-lead ECG is introduced in 1942 and used around the world. It is called 12-lead because it checks the electrical activity of the heart of 12 different contexts.Technology, truly and literally, reached our hearts today!
