Development of ATVs

First of all, ATV (all-terrain vehicles) have been developed during the 1950s. The first models had six wheels instead of four runners know now. Honda was the first company to take ATV 3 wheels in 1970. They were famous displayed in the James Bond film "diamonds are forever." First called the US90, the ATV was purely for fun, with very large tire ball rather than mechanical suspension and smaller tires finally introduced in the 1980s.

One of the most important versions of the ATC was the 1982 Honda ATC200E Big Red. It is a benchmark model in this suspension and media. That made it the ATV wheeled three first utility available on the market. It was popular for its ability to go anywhere on any type of terrain. The fact that he could go about the types of land that most of the other vehicles could not finally it is very popular with hunters of the United States and the Canada. He was also very attractive for those who seek nothing more than an exciting attraction on the trails.

A soon Honda innovated by developing models of sport. Honda seems to have a monopoly on the market, because of its patents on the design and engine placement. The ATC250R of 1981 was important, because it was the first high-performance Powabyke, featuring a full suspension, engine two 248-cubic centimetres, a five speed transmission with a manual clutch, and a front disc brakes. For those who liked the sport trail, 1983 ATC200X was another in a series of landmark machines. It was developed with an easy to handle 192-cm cube four times. This simple design was apparently perfect for new participants in the sport.

Honda soon found itself in competition with Suzuki. Suzuki led the industry in the development of four-wheeled ATVS. She sold the first ATV 4 wheel 1983 QuadRunner LT125, used primarily as a machine free for those who started just to ride mountain bikes. In 1985, Suzuki stepped up their game when they introduced the first 4-wheel ATV high performance, the Suzuki LT250R QuadRacer. This ATV was in production from 1985 to 1992, during which he suffered three major engineering makeovers. This vehicle became the known ATV as designed primarily for racing by highly skilled riders.

Honda then replied a year later with the TRX250R of windscreen. This ATV was never replicated.

Kawasaki joined the battle to develop the best mountain bike when they introduced their 250 Tecate-4. In 1987, Yamaha introduced another type of high-performance machine - 350 Banshee. The Banshee 350 features a two-stroke engine twin-cylinder motorcycle RD350LC Street. This ATV was heavier and more difficult to get into the dirt as the 250 s.Il quickly became a favorite of racers who chose the sand dunes. The Banshee is still a hugely popular machine, but 2006 was the last year, it was available in the US runners will be able to search for a model of 2007 at the Canada, however.

ATVS were introduced to public purchasing in the 1970s. They were immediately taken with those who were interested in doing something different on the outside. Original versions were offered in models with 3 wheels and four wheels and much larger tires featured. Soon, however, 3-wheeled ATV models have been banned, as they gained a reputation for being too dangerous. ATV suffered from a number of cosmetic and mechanical changes. Companies such as Honda, Suzuki and Yamaha have developed a number of models that serve runners of the ATC for all tastes and interests.
