Koi eat everything that you put in the pond with them, no matter if it's good for them or not. Shrimp - shrimp are edible crustaceans which are similar to shrimp, but are usually larger. Shrimp are in fact very good for Koi because they are rich in protein. You can find shrimp to several locations, including your local pet stores, large stores and food stores. Shrimps are available in regular and frozen, but make sure you that if you buy frozen to thaw completely before giving to your Koi. Shrimp are also one of the best deals to promote the power of the hand.

Lettuce - Lettuce is rich in vitamins and minerals and is very healthy for your Koi. There is no need to tear the lettuce into smaller pieces that the Koi can find joy to do so themselves.

Fruit - Koi eat a wide variety of fruits. When your fruit Koi feeding, be sure to break the fruit into small pieces. Fruit should only be fed to your Koi on special occasions, like most fruit contains large amounts of natural sugar, which can be bad for Koi in large quantities.
