History of the ATV

ATV (all terrain vehicles) we know today had very humble beginnings in the mountainous regions of the agriculture of the Japan. Muddy mountain roads become difficult for farmers to travel during the spring thaws and were almost impossible to drive on conventional vehicles or heavy machinery. The Japanese, still a culture change and tinker something until they could improve, created the three-wheeled ATV. This vehicle has done wonders to help local farmers. ATVS are cheaper than the large agricultural vehicles and it has proved to be a few excellent workhorse.

The Japanese did not prevent, however. ATV manufacturers have taken a step further and realized that they could market these ATVS to the Americans. America did nothing as the first ATV and ATV arrived on our shores in the early 1970s. Honda was the precursor of the ATC and had evidence with sales of motorcycle in America, after having introduced the Honda Cub to millions of Americans only a decade before. Successful marketing slogan "You meet the nicest people on a Honda" came at a time where the motorcycle had a bad reputation and has proven to people that average Joe could enjoy Motorsports as well. The 1970s, Honda had the reputation of building reliable, cutting-edge machines and their ATV was not different. This time, the marketing scheme would be to show people how thrilling recreational riding ATV could be.

More than thirty years ago Honda US90 made his debut and was called the ATC90. Curiously, the original intention of the ATV may have started at the other end of the spectrum of the working class in the Japan ATV, but ultimately, the results are the same. After gaining in popularity as a recreational vehicle, the ATV has become popular as a work vehicle as the Americans have begun to understand exactly how versatile this small three-wheeled vehicle may be.

The ATC has proven to have several benefits for the working class man. First of all, the ATV was cheaper than a tractor or pickup truck and during the crisis of the 1970s gas which was more. Mountain biking is also easier to maneuver in tight areas and can travel on almost any type of terrain. The people only found problem was the tires. Previous ATV tires were low pressure and then this fine worked on mud or sand, tires punctured easily when you get a more net field as a field harvested or sharp rocks. Overall, the ATV made work that no other piece of heavy equipment could not do. Original tires or repairable.

In 1975, hubless wheel design has been replaced by steel hubs and lined wheel of a fabric resistant to the Interior. Plastic defenses more durable have been added. This time, they produced defences colour bright visibility out in the Bush. As the popularity of the Japanese engineers ATC did not prevent their research and development. They had a course of good, and that they were determined to do better. The engineers entered the field to see how the ATV performed and began to collect data to contribute to the next round of amendments.

As early as the 1980s, the ATV went the same route as the bikes and motorcycles. The ATV was used as a utility vehicle and race. More people bought ATV for the riding off road trails and competition in similar events of motocross racing. In 1985, ATV use went from only 30% in the 1970s to the exorbitant sum of 80%. In 1988, Honda made an another revolutionary break with the design of the ATC, the introduction of the 300 windscreen and a second model called the windshield 300 4 x 4. Now up to this point, that the ATV still had three wheels, Honda has added an additional wheel and gave the ATV four wheel drives which provided more stability and power. They also mounted the windshield with a single-cylinder engine four air-cooled, which gave him a box of five-speed, automatic clutch and a maintenance free drive shaft. Honda also thought give the windshield gear of extra low for the transportation of the particularly heavy objects as large as 850 lbs.

Today, the bike is entirely rooted in our way of life. You can find bike on dirt bike trails, on farms, on construction sites and a host of other places. Now the countries of the world discover the same thing the Americans; the ATV is a pleasure and an effective vehicle to manage a wide range of jobs in almost any environment.
