What do you think of when you hear "las vegas"? Slot machines, casinos, showgirls, silver, sequins, spectacular shows and some of the best buffets in the States, right? What few people know is that Southern Nevada has some outdoor activities in the South West of the United States. Lake Meade National Park offers not only a great tour of Hoover Dam, but Meade Lake is a hot spot for boating, water skiing, jet skiing, fishing and even some diving. The roads of the wind around the Lake are frequented by motorcyclists and cyclists, runners and walkers. If you go far enough in the National Park of Lake Meade you run in the Valley of fire, a park named for its spectacular fiery red rocks and beautiful landscape. At the end West of Las Vegas is Red Rock Canyon, more spectacular landscaping of horseback riding, hiking, camping, climbing, mountain biking and motorcycling.
And let's not forget the crowd of ATV trails. In Las Vegas, there are two main areas where the inhabitants will rise. The first is about a half-hour outside of Las Vegas at the north end of the band just after the Nellis Air Force Base. There are two ways, you can join the Nellis Dunes. To the North and the Speedway in Las Vegas you can either follow Las Vegas Boulevard (aka The Las Vegas Strip) until you get at the end of it, or you can take the I - 15 at the Apex exit and turn right. You cannot miss the Dunes on this lonely stretch of road. If you arrived off the coast of the I-15 that the Dunes will immediately on your left, in fact, you can view from the exit ramp. Each end of the week are trailers and RVs parking place on the Dunes. You can watch the children and adults of horseback riding trails Bike ATV and dirt of the road.
If you follow the Boulevard South as it will go, you will find yourself at the same time to the I-15 to California. This stretch of road will lead you to Jean dry Lake beds. Here, the region is open also largely desert with enough space for the ATV riding trail and should take only twenty to thirty minutes of the band.
Venture outside Las Vegas, you can find another hot point ATV, the region of the Valley of the dry Lake of El Dorado. Take U.S. 95 or Boulder Highway South to the projector. Seven miles after the Casino of Pass Railroad before arriving projector, you will find trails. And finally, from the United States 93 is the Logandale trail system.
An inexperienced rider or the first time in Las Vegas visitor may want to consider hiring a guide to the trail. Most of these trails is unmarked and difficult to follow if you are not familiar with the region. A guide can also help you on the rough patches of the trail. All providers of ATV in Las Vegas offer training on the ATV to make sure that you understand how to drive the vehicle. Off-road vehicles in Nevada are usually require no registration, licence or titles to drive, but aged less than 15 drivers require the supervision of an adult and everyone must wear a helmet. Headlights must be on from dusk to dawn. Another precaution is to have a colored flag attached to your ATV while surfing on the trails so you can see other riders. Not to ride your ATV on roads or highways is; tow your vehicle on the site and stick to the trails. Above all, do not operate your ATV or any other motor vehicle, under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
